Layout and Design
Our staff has specialized training in building "loop Trail systems" as opposed to roads through the woods. While our specialty is
complete systems, we also can expand existing trail systems as their need for mileage grows or as they acquire more property.
During the layout and design process our staff pays very close attention to scenic features as well as drainage corridors
insuring that the routes are aesthetically pleasing with long term durability. Our designs leave as much of the natural terrain as
possible to give the user the ability to truly get back to nature with minimal maintenance from the trail management. Our trails
are built to slow the user down by design with limiting sight line changes in direction, elevation changes and trail width. This
makes the trails much safer and more interesting. The design process also includes a signage plan that incorporates trail
difficulty, trail identifier and user group for each individual trail. We build safety and adventure into our systems by design.
